U storage tips
Those Girl Guides are onto something with their whole 'Be Prepared' thing. So be a good Girl Guide and always carry a U product with you, just in case. Having said that, if your bag tends to collect mess like Lindsay Lohan collects lovers, then it's maybe not a good idea to have them floating around in the bottom. Just keep a couple in a small discrete purse that you can carry everywhere.
Travelling with U
If you're going somewhere where the water is a bit sus, then it's a good idea to use liners/pads instead of tampons (unless you're washing your hands with bottled water that is).
Liners are also great when you're camping or trekking if there's nowhere to wash your knickers.
Disposal
Funnily enough, liners, pads and tampons are not on the diet of most fish. So please don't flush them, or their packaging, down the loo. They can also easily block up the sewerage system, which can be really expensive and mighty embarrassing to have fixed! Simply put them in a paper bag or wrap them in toilet paper and use the bin. It goes without saying, if you're at home, don't let the bin sit there for too long.
Hygiene
While all vaginas have bacteria in them, there's some bad bacteria that they really don't get on with. So ALWAYS wash your hands before and after changing your sanitary products.
Toxic Shock Syndrome
TSS is a rare but serious disease that has been associated with the use of tampons. It's believed to be caused by toxins produced by a strain of bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, that is often present in men, women and children. In rare instances the toxin produced by some of the bacteria is not destroyed by the antibodies in our bloodstream and TSS can occur.
